Prerecorded videos allow students to work at their own pace. Siblings of one homeschool family may use the course together.
The book Courage & Conquest is essential to the course. If you don’t have a copy, purchase it separately.

You will love the ease of having Donna Ward teach your history to your children. The content is self-paced, with a easy 15-20 minute 3 day per week plan, along with recommended extra resources in books, videos, online resources to fill out the course for those who want to explore more.

Students of multiple grades from Grades 4-10 can do the course. Extra assignments will be given for high school students.
The course will expiry one year after purchase. It is split into two parts (Series 1 and Series 2) to allow for more flexibility with expiry dates.
The course content covers the time period of opening the west with the Hudson’s Bay Company to Confederation and provinces or territories which subsequently joined.

We are currently in Indonesia, and Vimeo videos are blocked here. We are able to access them using a VPN, but Safari seems to work better than Google on this. Maybe this will be of help to others who might try and access your curriculum outside of Canada. My son is watching the videos beside me as I test them out, and is wanting to start the first lesson right away! We’re looking forward to it.
