Homeschool Mom –
My children and I had such a wonderful time doing this study this year. We all learned so much, including me! It was so much fun. I love how easy this book was to use, the wonderful resource living book listings that were listed throughout the book and the easy to use access code where I could print off worksheets. I look forward to using other Donna Ward products.

My children (ages 3, 6, 7) and I started with Canada’s Native Long Ago. I loved it because of its ease of use. We started in the north with the Inuit. We used as many of your suggested resources as possible and used a Native Craft book. We ‘made’ a big igloo from snow (snowman sized balls) as well as a salt dough igloo. We made all sorts of crafts. Then we went to B.C. and worked our way across to the maritimes. At the end, we threw a Potlatch party and gave away our crafts. The kids and I LOVED IT!

We just finished your Inuit unit today & are taking a break from playing Cat’s Cradle. My daughter is obsessed with it and my hands are tired…

We used Canada’s Natives Long Ago last year with Sonlight and found it dovetailed so nicely together. Thanks again for your excellent resources, and your contagious enthusiasm.

Dear Mrs. Ward: I have just completed your study about the Canada’s Natives, Long Ago. I enjoyed it very much and was amazed by how the individual groups survived. We played the games “Nooglooktok” and “meat grabber” and for crafts we made the totem pole and long house. Thank you for creating the Natives of Long Ago study.
